Who we are

Your collection stays on your phone

The cards you add or import, your links, print status and settings are only stored on your own device. We do not receive them. If Android backup is on, Android may keep this data encrypted in your own Google account so it comes back on a new phone. A backup file or PDF/Excel you save yourself goes to the location you choose.

Bluetooth and printers

The app only uses Bluetooth to find label printers nearby and print to them. On Android 11 and older, Android also asks for location permission for this; Collabel does not use or store your location. Printer information (such as model, battery and label roll) stays on your phone.

Card photos (TCGdex)

To show card photos, the app looks up the card name, set and card number at TCGdex, a free card database. As with any internet connection, that service sees your IP address. No other information is sent. You can turn card photos off in Settings.

With Collabel Pro the app also searches an extended card database, through our own server (collabel.app) at PokéWallet: for card photos and rarity when TCGdex has none, and for extended search. The card name, set, number and card language are sent, or what you type in the search box, plus RevenueCat's random app ID (see below). Our server uses that app ID to ask RevenueCat whether you have Pro and remembers the answer for a few hours. Search results are kept for a week without the app ID, so the next search is faster. Our server does not store IP addresses; to prevent abuse it counts lookups per hour using a code that cannot be traced back to you and is deleted after a few hours.

Collabel Pro and payments

You get 25 free labels to start and then 10 every month. To keep track of how many you have used and how many you have left, even if you reinstall the app, the app sends a code that cannot be traced back to you and that number to our server; the server also stores your balance and the month of the last top-up. The code is made from the fixed code Android gives your device for this app, and is hashed again on our server; it contains no name, email address, phone number or collection, and we cannot use it to see who you are.

Payments are handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details. To keep track of your Pro status and restore it on a new phone, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives a random app ID and your Collabel purchase history (for example which plan and until when). Google's privacy policy applies to the payment itself.

QR codes on your labels

A QR code contains a search link (to Google search results for the card) or a link you entered yourself. Whoever scans it opens that link on their own phone; Collabel is not involved.

What we don't do

• No account or email address needed
• No ads
• No analytics or tracking
• We don't sell or share data

Children

Collabel is not made specifically for children. Because the app asks for no name, email address or other personal details, younger collectors can use it safely; a Pro purchase requires a Google account with a payment method.

Your rights

Because your data is on your own phone, you are fully in control: delete cards in the app, or remove everything by uninstalling the app. For questions about your data at RevenueCat or Google, email us and we will gladly help. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

Delete your data

Collabel by Forgebase has no accounts. Your collection is stored only on your phone: you delete it yourself by removing cards or uninstalling the app.

Want us to delete the data on our server and at RevenueCat? Here is how:

1. Open Collabel, go to Settings and tap the line at the bottom ("Collabel … · Forgebase") 5 times. You now see your Collabel ID; tap it to copy it.
2. Email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my data" and paste your Collabel ID.
3. Within 30 days we delete everything and send you a confirmation.

What we delete: your Pro status on our server, redeemed Pro codes and your customer data at RevenueCat (app ID and Collabel purchase history). Cancel an active subscription yourself in Google Play; Google keeps payment records under its own policy.

What we keep: the number of free labels used, linked to a code of your device that cannot be traced back to you (no name or other data). We keep it to prevent abuse of the free labels, for up to 2 years after your last use; after that it is deleted automatically. Card database search results are stored without an app ID and deleted after a week.

This website

The website uses no cookies, no ads and no analytics. If you vote on the wish list or send an idea, we store your vote or the text of your idea. To prevent double votes we also store a code that cannot be traced back to you, made from your IP address with a secret key; we do not store your IP address itself. The website runs on Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as IP addresses for security.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page with a new date.
